Sammamish Real Estate: Two Countries, One New Home

Eduardo and Patti found their next home from Mexico City and Peru, with two weeks left before their move and their daughter's new school already on the calendar. Neither one could fly in to see the home in person, so we did every showing over video, together, with my iPhone camera.

We walked the neighborhood first, then the yard, then the front door. I opened every closet and every cabinet, checked the kitchen, walked through each bedroom, and let them ask questions in real time from two different time zones. It is not the usual way to find a home, but it worked, because we knew exactly what mattered to them and stayed thorough every single time.

Eduardo and Patti had a short list. Close to their daughter's school and her activities. A reasonable commute for Eduardo's work. Close enough to Mercer Island that they could still see the friends who sent them my way in the first place. This house checked every box on that list.

Two weeks before their move, Eduardo and Patti had an address to call home, found entirely through video calls and trust, from thousands of miles away, without ever stepping inside in person.
